LEGO is seeking fans to test early designs of Ideas sets

The LEGO Group is looking for fans to help test early designs of upcoming LEGO Ideas sets at LEGO World 2022.

As part of its ambition to ‘make fan-powered innovation even more fun, honest, and rewarding’ through LEGO Ideas, the LEGO Group is seeking members of the crowdsourcing platform to help test prototype designs of new products. There are currently nine LEGO Ideas sets in the development stage, having been given the green light in the review phase.

Any one of those could feasibly be part of the test, though if recent rumours are true, Truman Cheng’s Vincent van Gogh: The Starry Night is already in production. Given these are ‘early designs’, it seems more likely to be one of the recently-approved projects, such as Jaijai Lewis’s The Office or Andrea Lattanzio’s A-Frame Cabin.

To be eligible to take part in the test, you’ll need to be at least 18 years old, be able to speak English, and have either previously submitted a project to LEGO Ideas, or participated in a contest on the platform. The 45-minute test will take place at LEGO World 2022 in Copenhagen on April 17 and 18, so you’ll also need to be attending that event.

If you fulfil those requirements, head over to the sign-up form and fill in your details. If you’re selected to take part, you’ll also be compensated with ‘a small LEGO set’. You’ve got until April 7 at 10am UK time to fill in the form.
