LEGOLAND Windsor wants you to design a creature for LEGO MYTHICA
LEGOLAND Windsor’s new contest tasks fans with dreaming up a creature for its LEGO MYTHICA world, with the winning entry brought to life in bricks.
The new LEGO MYTHICA: World of Mythical Creatures area will open in spring 2021 to celebrate the park’s 25th anniversary. And at the heart of it will be a creature designed by one talented young LEGO fan, built as a six-foot-tall model.
The contest is only open to kids between two and 16 years old (sorry, AFOLs!), and they’ll need the details of a parent or guardian. But entering couldn’t be simpler: all they have to do is build, draw or otherwise create a visual representation of their creature, then upload it to the LEGOLAND website.
Here’s the full prize package on offer for the winner:
- Your mythical creature brought to life as a six-foot-tall LEGO model, presented pride of place in the heart of the new land
- Place the final LEGO brick of LEGO MYTHICA, in a once-in-a-lifetime unveiling ceremony
- Overnight stay at one of our LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Hotels
- Premium LEGOLAND Annual Pass for a family of up to five
- LEGO Goodie Bag
The competition is open now through January 31, 2021. Voting will then take place from February 8 to 21, with the winning entrant notified by email by February 26. The model’s unveiling is then expected to take place on June 26, but firm dates are a relic of a pre-coronavirus world, so expect that to change.

Profile
- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then. You can follow me on Twitter at @brfa_chris.
