LEGO Harry Potter Black Friday discounts
The LEGO Harry Potter theme – which returned in 2018 after a six-year absence – is one of the LEGO Group’s most successful ranges at the moment, with its sets and Collectible Minifigures frequently mentioned among the company’s top-selling products. But that success invariably means we’ve seen bigger and more expensive Harry Potter LEGO sets arriving on the market, making it hard to keep up with everything.
Black Friday could therefore present the perfect opportunity to catch up on the prolific Potter theme, including recent flagship sets like 75978 Diagon Alley and 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition. While big discounts on new sets are pretty rare, you should at least be able to snap them up with double VIP points, which represents an effective 10% discount in cashback to spend on future purchases.
LEGO Harry Potter Black Friday retiring sets
We’ve seen some pretty magical discounts on retiring sets across previous LEGO Black Friday events, and if the same happens again this year, there could be some Wizarding World bargains to take advantage of in 2021. According toBrick Fanatics’ sources, a total of eight different Harry Potter LEGO sets will retire by the end of the year, and could all therefore be eligible for tasty Black Friday discounts.
Among those are 75947 Hagrid’s Hut: Buckbeak’s Rescue and 75953 Hogwarts Whomping Willow, two of the oldest Harry Potter LEGO sets currently available at LEGO.com. If the LEGO Group still has stock to shift come Black Friday, serious savings could be available across either or both of those models.
LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle Black Friday deals
The definitive Harry Potter LEGO castle has been on shelves for three years now – and while it currently isn’t due to retire until the end of 2022, there’s still a chance we could see a Black Friday discount on the enormous, 6,020-piece 71043 Hogwarts Castle. But even if we don’t, the chance to score double VIP points on the £349.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 microscale set shouldn’t be overlooked.
LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley Black Friday deals
Last year’s sprawling LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley set is the biggest and best take on the magical shopping street we’ve ever seen, with 5,544 bricks and a whopping 17 minifigures to populate its four buildings. That makes it a very enticing set for LEGO Harry Potter fans – so with Black Friday’s expected double VIP points and gifts-with-purchase, it becomes even more tempting. Any discount on top of that will just be a bonus.

This year is the 20th anniversary of the original LEGO Harry Potter range, and the LEGO Group has celebrated by releasing a wave of Harry Potter LEGO sets that include golden minifigures. Given how recently those Harry Potter LEGO sets have launched, we may not see any substantial discounts on them across the Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping weekend. But there’s still a chance that the LEGO Group might choose to slash the prices of one or more of the new Hogwarts 20th anniversary sets, as a way of enticing fans to then go ahead and pick up the full collection.
