So D2C article has caused a stir to say the least and it’s been interesting to hear other people’s view point. It seems I’m not the only one who thinks play features should be kept away from D2C and instead feature display models making theses sets the best of the best. Anyway this year it looks like the new Disney CMF line will be following the same style format as The Simpsons line did in 2014 and 2015.
With that I mean a series of minifigures followed by a direct to consumer (D2C) to follow. This year, the set number 71040 has been given the working name of Cinderella Castle. CM4SCi over on Eurobricks has told us some minor details. From what’s being said on the LEGO forums this set will be based on the castle found in most Disney theme parks across the globe and will come with minifigures rather than mini-dolls. Included in this set is going to be Tinkerbell and other classic characters such as Pluto and Goofy.
It’s early days but I’m crossing my fingers it is as good as the Simpsons House and Kwik-E-Mart. If so, LEGO might just redeem themselves with what they’ve given us thus far.
Would you be wanting this set or is it another miss by LEGO?
